Close Board/ Feather Edge Fencing:

A solid timber fence comprising of mortised wooden or concrete posts with horizontal rails fixed in place. Feather edge wooden slats are positioned vertically, overlapping the previous board and  then nailed to the rails. A wooden board across the bottom known as a gravel board offers a level perch for the feather edge as well as increasing the longevity of the fence.
